Don Milroy called
the meeting to order at
1:05 p.m.
He welcomed old and new
members
Kim Peacock read the
minutes of the 2008
Annual Meeting. The
minutes were approved.
Don asked for a Roll
Call of the 2008 Board
Members present: Don
Milroy, Carol Peterson,
Kim Peacock, Pat Gordon,
Suzy Kett, Ken Conner,
Kevin Mackin, Pat
Bieneman, Rose Malone,
and Mike Spallone.
Carol Peterson Certified
the Proxies and tallied
the vote.
Pat Gordon gave the
Treasurer’s Report
Jay Julian gave the
Station #10 Report. He
said all equipment is
online and operational.
He also said that
Addressing continues to
be an issue.
Sarah Falmark gave the
PIE Environmental Report
along with a handout.
She also presented an
award plaque to Joe
DeYulio saying that his
work on signage had been
extremely valuable.
Pat Gordon reported on
the Scholarship
Committee and Friends of
PIE.
Suzy Kett gave a brief
Social Committee Report
and thanked everyone for
helping with Social
Events.
Don read the PIE Charter
as outlined in the
Articles of
Incorporation and the
By-Laws.
Don gave the President’s
Report, highlighting the
2008 Accomplishments and
thanked everyone for
their contributions.
Don cited the 2009
“Carryover” Projects:
* House Numbering for
Fire Dept
* Water/Outage Boil
Notice Procedures
* Community Bulleting
Board
* Beach Dune Walkovers
Don announced the
Election of 2009 Board
of Directors. He
thanked Mike Spallone
for his 2 years of
service on the Board and
announced those
re-elected to a new
2-year term: Pat
Bieneman, Gay Corrozo,
Pat Gordon, Suzy Kett,
and Kim Peacock. Newly
elected to a 2-year
term: Jackie York, Jack
MacArthur, and Robin
Madden.
He asked the meeting
attendees what they
wanted to accomplish in
2009. The following was
noted:
* Mail Service
* Reduce Realtor
Signage
* The Burying of FPL
lines
Tjell discussed the
Septic Pump Program
Several islanders
discussed not receiving
or disappearing trash
cans
David Witter presented
the idea of
Incorporation and
distributed a hand-out.
Don made note the PIE
was not involved in the
Incorporation issue, but
would disseminate
information as
appropriate.
Don adjourned the
meeting at 2:05 p.m.
