Board Meeting

Members Don Milroy, Pat
Gordon, Rose Malone,
Kevin Mackin, Suzy
Kett, Pat Bieneman, Ken
Conner, and Kim
Peacock. Also
attending: Bob Horswill
Don called the meeting
to order at 5:04 pm.
November minutes were
accepted. Pat reviewed
the Treasurer’s Report,
and it was accepted.
Don gave a Trash,
Recycling and Yard Waste
Update.
Ken said the trash at
the ferry landing gazebo
is unsightly. Board
members discussed
pulling out the trash
can as a “test”. They
also discussed having a
Waste Management account
and trash bin there.
Don discussed having a
Art in the Palms Debrief
Meeting.
Bob Horswill presented
the WHPP budget of
$4,000. Don asked him
if he could prioritize
the budget. Pat noted
that last year WHPP’s
budget was $3,000, and
not all of it was
spent. He gave his
budget to Pat, and Don
said the Board would
review it.
Pat talked about Friends
of Pie and the
Scholarship Committee.
She wanted the Board to
approve some changes to
Scholarship Application
Requirements:
Applicant’s family must
have been PIE members
for two consecutive
years prior to
application, and
Community Service
Projects and Hours must
be approved in advance
by a member of the
Scholarship Committee.
Pat B moved to approve
the changes. The motion
passed unanimously.
Don discussed the 2009
Annual Meeting. Sunday,
January 25th
at 1 p.m. was set as the
date. The date for the
Street Dance was also
set: Sat, Jan 24th.
Don discussed the Annual
Meeting mailing. It was
decided that Suzy will
write the letter, Pat G,
Pat B, and Suzy will do
the mailing. Also, Kim
will send out an email
advising members of the
dates to include:
Annual Meeting, Parade,
and Street Dance.
Don asked Rose and Pat
B. to be the Selection
and Recruiting Committee
for new board members.
Under Old Business, the
Community Bulletin Board
was discussed.
Suzy asked for approval
of 1 banner/sign each
for the Annual Meeting,
Street Dance, and Golf
Cart Parade. Estimated
cost: $180. Pat B
moved to approve the
expense. Motion passed
unanimously.
Board members decided
the Golf Cart Parade
would meet between the
bridges at 11 am on
January 1st.
Don adjourned the
meeting at 6:09 p.m.
