Board Meeting

November 3, 2008
Firehouse

 

Attending:  Board Members Don Milroy, Carol Peterson, Pat Gordon, Rose Malone, Kevin Mackin, Mike Spallone, Suzy Kett, Ken Conner, and Kim Peacock.  Also attending:  Barb & Joe DeYulio.

Don called the meeting to order at 5:05 pm.  October minutes were accepted with the note that Carol and Pat were to do the shopping, not Rose and Tim.  The Treasurer’s report was accepted.  Pat noted that though the Board voted to put $10,000 in CDs, she put an additional $5,000 in a CD that could be accessed if needed, because we had it available and she knew that AIP funds would be also coming.

Don gave an update on the County Meeting scheduled for Wednesday regarding Garbage issues.  After the meeting, he will send an email update to members.

Don went down the Art in the Palms agenda to make sure all items were taken care of.  Suzy noted that show set up will be on Friday:  2:30 meet at shed, 3 pm set up at site, 5 pm Pizza party.

Under Old Business, Carol discussed House Numbering and said she would work with Bob Madden in the Colony and Missy on matching up current numbers with the County’s numbers.

Carol will call Dawn Harrison about mowing next to the new Bridge.  Carol also discussed the need for a Community Bulletin Board.

Pat talked about having “Ground Effects” pick up yard clippings left at accesses.  Carol moved and the motion passed to offer Ground Effects up to $200, plus Dump charges to pick up and haul off the clippings.

Don adjourned the meeting at 5:50 p.m.
