Board Meeting
September 8, 2008
Firehouse
Attending: Board
Members Don Milroy,
Carol Peterson, Pat
Gordon, Rose Malone, Pat
Bieneman, Kevin Mackin,
Gay Carrozo, and Kim
Peacock.
Don called the meeting
to order at 5:05 pm.
June minutes were
accepted. The
Treasurer’s report was
accepted. Carol moved
to moved $10,000 from
the regular checking
account into a 7-month
CD at the best rate
possible at Bank of
America. Motion passed.
Don read an email from
Linda Jones, which said
she would be unavailable
until after January and
was submitting her
resignation from the
Board. Board Members
accepted her
resignation.
Beach Walkover Permits:
Don will report on next
month.
Pat Gordon is in charge
of October 18th
Beach Cleanup
Community Bulletin
Board: Need to move PIE
board to gazebo. Don
will report on next
month.
Water Outage
Notification: No call
backs from Craig Noden.
Don will call again.
House
Numbering/Signage:
Carol will follow-up on.
Garbage/Recycling
Update: Don said that
Garbage Collection would
move to Mondays on
October 1st.
He will try to confirm
this and send an email
to PIE members.
Art in the Palms:
Kim gave an update on
artists. She will
report on artist
re-mailing, advertising,
and P.R. at October
meeting.
Silent Auction: Kim
will revise Auction
Donation Form and
forward jpegs to members
to use in soliciting
donations. Don will
email a list of items to
board members so efforts
are not duplicated.
Band: Charlene is
working on. This year,
PIE will cover most, if
not all, of the band
expenses.
Food: Suzy will report
on next month. Need to
ask Stu if he is still
willing to provide
Gumbo.
Signage: Need larger
signs with no date that
say “This Saturday”.
Additionally, need to
post signs in front of
post office and at the
mouth of Panama Blvd.
Pat B will coordinate
the new signage.
Don adjourned the
meeting at 6:06 pm.
