Carol Peterson called
the meeting to order at
5:02 pm. Carol asked
for a motion to approve
the October meeting
minutes. Don moved to
approve. Leslie
seconded. The motion
passed unanimously.
Pat Gordon gave the
Treasurer’s Report. Kim
moved to approve the
Treasurer’s Report.
Meryl seconded. The
motion passed
unanimously.
Suzy reported on Art in
the Palms. She asked
for, and received,
authorization to buy
pizza for the Pizza
Party the night before,
during which everyone
secures the site until
Kathy can arrive to
watch it all night. She
also asked for, and
received, authorization
to buy a portable “beach
tent” to be used during
Art in the Palms, as
well as at other PIE
events.
Meryl gave an update on
the Silent Auction. The
board members agreed to
auction rules: bidders
must bid in specified
increments and must be
present at the auction’s
3 pm close in order to
receive their item. Don
gave an Art in the Palms
parking update. Don
will put posts and tape
along the south side of
Panama Blvd to prevent
attendees from parking
on the lawns of
homeowners there. As
well, he will cover over
the No Parking signs.
Carol reported on the
status of Strayer and
the Beach Access
Surveys. After
receiving the surveys,
Carol recommended that
the board authorize her
to pay Strayer an
additional $600 for an
excellent job. Don
moved to authorize the
$600 expenditure. Bob
seconded. The motion
passed unanimously.
Sharon Porro gave an
update on lagoon dock
signage. She showed
board members a mock-up
of the sign, which was
approved by Chief
Cameron. The 80gauge
12x18 sign will cost
$32.10 per sign. Sharon
is showing the mockup,
taking orders, and will
then have them made.
Carol discussed the
membership drive
mailing, which will be
mailed out at the
beginning of December.
It was decided that the
mailing should go to all
property owners as
opposed to just current
PIE members.
Kim moved to adjourn the
meeting. Don seconded.
Meeting was adjourned at
5:52 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Kim Peacock
