Board Meeting
March 3, 2008
Firehouse
Attending: Board
Members Don Milroy,
Carol Peterson, Pat
Gordon, Pat Bieneman,
Linda Jones, Rose
Malone, Kevin Mackin,
Mike Spallone, Suzy
Kett, Ken Conner, and
Kim Peacock. Also
attending was Bob
Horswill.
Don called the meeting
to order at 5:00 pm.
February minutes were
accepted. Treasurer’s
report was accepted.
There are 175 current
PIE paid members. Kim
will email a notice that
unpaid memberships will
be deleted from the
directory on March 15th,
and she will link to the
web site’s application.
Emergency Procedures:
Bill will “okay” the
procedures, and Kim will
put on the web site.
Carol will write the
final text for “phone”
cards and laminate.
House Numbering:
Board members discussed
problems with the county
database that wrong
addresses to persons
calling in emergencies.
Carol volunteered to
work with the phone
company and find out
what the procedures are
for correcting addresses
in the database.
Pat B. reported on
signage and said she
will get a quote on
plastic/PVC house number
signs.
Rose will talk to Waste
Management about
changing trash pickups
to Mondays.
Don reported that
Islander will not decide
what to do with their
bulletin board until
after pavement and
bridge is complete.
Clearing Beach
Accesses: Carol is
awaiting a quote from
Curtis. Pat B. reported
that Manny is too busy
to do it. The board
discussed which accesses
should be cleared
first. Bob Horswill
will survey the accesses
for plants that should
be relocated.
Panama Blvd: Don
will talk to the county
and find out how to get
more parking. He will
also talk to Dean to
find out who owns what
on Panama.
Easter Pancake
Breakfast: Suzy
will contact &
coordinate between Stu &
the Malones.
Pat Gordon distributed a
Proposed Budget
and asked for adoption
or changes by the next
meeting.
Water Outages/Boil
Notices: Don will
talk to Craig Noden.
Kim asked for AIP
feedback: Artist’s
booth fees will be $50
before Sept 1st
and $60 after that date.
Suzy suggested doing a
“New Bridge” celebration
event with a band and
champagne. Carol will
call the county to try
to zero in on a date.
Suzy will not be in town
for the April Dance, and
she will need someone to
coordinate the event in
her absence.
Bob Horswill said he
will continue to head-up
WHPP. He asked for
people to volunteer golf
carts for an
Islandscaper Tour on
March 19th.
Don will inquire about
Beach Walkover
permitting. Bill
Peterson will verify
requirement of walkover
to accommodate Fire
Dept’s new vehicle.
