Board Meeting
March 5, 2007

Attending: Board
Members Carol Peterson,
Don Milroy, Suzy Kett,
Bob Horswill, Pat
Gordon, Leslie O’Hara,
Gaye Corozzo, Pat
Bieneman, and Kim
Peacock
Carol Peterson called
the meeting to order at
5:05 pm. Carol asked
for a motion to approve
the February meeting
minutes. Don moved to
approve. Gaye
seconded. The motion
passed unanimously.
Pat gave the Treasurer’s
Report and Draft
Budget. Don asked about
insurance costs. Don
will get information on
possible insurance
savings by getting
bids. Kim moved to
approve the Treasurer’s
Report. Pat Bieneman
seconded. The motion
passed unanimously.
The Board Members
discussed the Budget and
discussed various
items. It was decided
to increase the “beach
signs,” which are the
“dog signs” to $600.
Members also discussed
WHPP, the New Year’s
Parade, Wildlife
Donations, and the
Member Directory and
What’s New Page. Don
moved to accept the
Budget as noted. Bob
seconded. Motion passed
unanimously.
Suzy Kett talked about
the April 21st
Special Event: ELVIS by
Bruce Nye the Elvis Guy,
who charges $700 for 3
hours, 3 costume changes
and a smoke machine.
The event will be $30
per person, regardless
of whether or not the
attendee is a PIE member
or not. Board members
discussed whether PIE
members should get
discounts to events. It
was decided to give it
more thought.
Bob distributed a hand
out about the Mangrove
Workshop. He also
talked about the Water
Testing issue. Bob will
talk to Dick Aulenti or
Mike Spallone about
working with Steve
Osborn on Water Testing.
Carol adjourned the
meeting at 5:54 p.m.
