Ken
Conner
I was born in Roanoke,
VA and spent most of
my life in WV. I am
married to Louise and
we have 6 children and
l0 grandchildren.
I was a
sales executive for 27
yrs. with a major
business forms
company. Twenty five
years ago my wife and
I started our own
printing and office
supply business which
we still own.
I
served 15 years on the
board of directors of
our home owners
association in WV, of
which I was president
for 9 years. I also
served 9 years as
president of our
homeowners association
in Claytor Lake , VA.
I have been involved
in many civic
organizations, including
Chamber of Commerce,
Elks, Civitan, Moose,
Toastmasters and
others.
We
purchased our home on
Palm Island 9 years
ago, We retired and
now spend 8 months of
the year living here.
I love this island
paradise and will do
anything I possibly
can to work and
protect our lifestyle
and this island.
If elected I will work
for the best interest
of P.I.E.

My husband Randy and I
bought in Colony Don
Pedro in 1992 and
vacationed here every
school vacation until
we retired in 2001
when we became Florida
residents spending
several months a year
here. I retired after
30 years as a School
Social Worker and
Guidance Counselor.
We bought another home
here and hoped to sell
our home in Ohio and
become full-time
residents. I have
been involved with
Islandscapers and have
helped with the
Firehouse gardens. We
fell in love with the
island almost 30 years
ago and I would like
to help preserve the
uniqueness of this
paradise and give back
to those who have done
so much to nurture the
spirit and activities
on the island.

I am a native Floridian,
and grew up in Orlando.
My husband Tim and I
first discovered Palm
Island 10 years ago. We
were so drawn to the
beauty and charm of the
Island we purchased our
land the very first
weekend we stayed on the
Island. In 2002 we
built our home. While we
commuted from Orlando we
had our house in the
rental program. In
September of 2006 we
were fortunate enough to
move here full time.
During the past year I
have made many new
friends on the Island,
and I am thankful for
such a friendly
community to live in and
be a part of. I am a
full time employee of
CIGNA Behavioral Health
and work at home, which
give me the flexibility
to participate in Island
events. Tim and I hosted
the street party last
year and will host it
again this year. We also
hosted the Easter
pancake breakfast and
assisted in organization
of the 2007 Golf Car
parade. Tim and I
recently purchased a
commercial property on
776 and we are part of
the local Chamber of
Commerce. Being a
“newbe” on the Island I
hope to bring new and
fresh ideas to the table
and help keep some old
traditions from fading
away.
