FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

In response to frequently asked questions, here are some additional things to remember…

County ordinance states that dogs must be leashed and are not allowed on the beaches.

Fires of any kind are prohibited anywhere on our barrier islands without a permit.

Our sand roads are suitable for slow moving vehicles. Dirt bikes and ATV’s destroy the sand base of our roads, and are not only dangerous, but illegal.

Golf carts must be driven on roads only … only by drivers 16 years of age or older.

Fireworks disturb wildlife, create litter and pollute the water. Fireworks are prohibited.

Our islands are not the place to speed. Keep it slow on the roads, slower on the bridges, and watch for humans and critters crossing.
